Can There Be True Belief If There's Doubt?

Jesus placed a great deal of emphasis on faith. He healed in response to it and He rebuked those who lacked it. He promised, "You can pray for anything, and if you have enough faith, you will receive it." (Matthew 21:22)

Doubt stands in direct opposition to that sort of faith. Too many people end their spiritual journey almost before it has begun because of doubt. Others, seemingly far along the path, fall victim to doubt and their journey comes to an abrupt end. As far as stumbling blocks go, doubt might be the most prevalent of all. Ironically, it can also lead to building stronger belief.

It didn't take Satan long to figure it out. Creating doubt was the first tactic he used to separate the created from the Creator, when he planted doubt about God's word in Eve's mind. It's been one of his favorite e strategies ever since.
